Thank you for visiting my website. I was born and raised in a large, Italian-American family in Syracuse, New York.

I have been teaching memoir writing at Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina for the past 15 years and at other locations, including The Warehouse Performing Arts Center in Cornelius. My heritage is the inspiration for an upcoming memoir My Father’s Daughter: From Rome to Sicily, that will be published by Divine Phoenix in conjunction with Pegasus Books.

In this trilogy, I travel to three locations:  The Vatican in Rome, my father’s hometown, Gualtieri Sicaminò in Sicily, and to my matriarchal lineage in the region of Mount Etna. With my Italian-born father, Italian-American mother, and very-American husband, we venture together on a journey of a lifetime.

I’m out to uncover the past, so expect some twists, turns, humor, and love, as we walk the paths, see the sites, taste the flavors and meet the people from my family’s heritage.

Come back often and join my mail list for future updates.
